When the pope texts you, you answer that text!

“Agent, I have been kept waiting long enough. I expected you fifteen minutes ago when you arrived. I demand to see you. Be here in five minutes. Benny,”
“Hey, Vinnie. Wire up. Benny wants to see me in four and a half minutes,” I say to my husband as I tape wires to my torso – under the vest, thin Kevlar and turtleneck. “You’ll get to see him after that. The recordings will go to a recording device for later records.”
After the last piece of electrical tape is attached to both the wires and my torso, I turn to Vinnie and give him a brief kiss and book it to Benny’s rooms. I run a good two minutes before I get to his door. I don’t bother knocking because anyone could’ve heard my combat boots as I ran and since I’m still in motion from running, I skid right into the foyer of the humongous suite.
“Heya, Benny!” I say.
“Maggie, you’re about forty five seconds late. I’ll forgive you because you brought my favorite great grand nephew,” Benny says. “I hear congratulations are in order! I hear that you took Vinnie out of the bachelor life style. I’ve been praying that someone would come along. I was praying that it was you.”
“Thanks,” as I hug Benny. “To tell you the truth, when I think about it, it’s a little….unusual. Did you know that Vinnie was my teacher in high school? I mean, how many students marry their former teachers after a certain amount of time passes so the teacher doesn’t get into trouble? And especially when they’re nineteen years older than the person they marry! Thankfully, Vinnie retired but that doesn’t matter because enough time has passed so it’s fine. I’m still tempted to call him “Mr. Guidicelli”. That’d be a little weird.”
“Mag, do you love your husband? Can you see yourself with him until death parts you? Does he make you a better person? Can you picture yourself having children with him? If any of the answers are “No” then you guys shouldn’t have gotten married. I’d say that at this point if the answer is “No” that I’d take care of the annulment but because Vinnie is my great grand nephew, it’d be a conflict of interest. If any of the answers are “Yes” despite some of the misgivings you feel, then you belong together. I honestly feel that you and Vinnie were brought together for a purpose; to marry each other.”
“I can honestly tell you that all the answers to your questions are a “Yes”. I’ve had a bit of a rough patch a year ago, which he knows nothing about as of yet, but because of his unconditional love for me, I’m beginning to heal and beginning to love someone with such intensity. It’s pretty scary to have this feeling for someone.”
Benny and I chit chat a little bit more about Vinnie and I. I decide to turn the conversation around a little bit to the assassination attempt on his life and how he’s feeling during the recovery.
“Benny, do you realize why I’m really here in Vatican City with my family? Giovanni, Il Camerlango, is a distant cousin of mine. He called me just moments after Vinnie and I got married to inform me of the assassination attempt on your life. I’ve told you many times to go in the Pope mobile and have the windows and doors closed. The fiberglass is bullet proof and bomb proof. I’m glad to see you and that you’re in one piece. The next time you want to see me, just call me on the “pope o phone”. If you can send me a text, you can call me.”
“I figured you were here to help on the case not take it over. You know the Italians of the mainland, Sicily and Sardinia but you don’t know the Vatican City people.”
“Oh, get off it, Benny,” I say getting mad at him. “I know the Vatican City staff as well as I know the Italians, Sicilians and Sardinians. You don’t want me to take over because you’re related to my husband; you’re afraid that it’ll look bad. It sounds like you already know who shot and almost killed you, like it was an inside job! Why can’t you see that I’m here trying to do my job? I am the best of the best! I’m leaving. I’ll send Vinnie in.”
I get up and leave. I take a secret passage from the hallway just outside Benny’s door to the hallway just outside the suite that Vinnie and I are in. I pick the lock and walk in. Vinnie’s a bit shocked that I picked several heavy duty locks in a matter of seconds. I turn off the recording part of my wires. I check Vinnie’s to make sure his is off as well; which it is.
“Dear,” I say as I plop down on the chair taking my boots off and the wires. “I love your uncle but he is one stubborn mule. He refuses to close the windows and doors to the Pope mobile. Refuses to see that I’m the best of the best. He doesn’t want me to take over because I don’t know the people inside the Vatican – that’s a load of crap. It sounded to me like he knew who it was! You’re off to see your uncle. Good luck with the stubborn old mule! I’m going to go check on Mom and Donny.”
I turn to face Vinnie to turn on his wires then I head out the room with the keys and my lock picking kit to see Mom and Donny. I could take the secret passage to their hallway but it takes more time so I just walk five hundred feet down to their suite. I knock on their door and Mom opens up the door and lets me in.
She pours tea for us as I get settle on the couch. Mom and Donny don’t ask me about the conversation that I had with the pope. They know it’d happen after I spoke with Vinnie about his visit and then we’d gather with the Italian team in the morning. In no time at all, jet lag and coming off of adrenaline hits me. I get off the couch and saying good night to Mom and Donny, telling them I’d talk to them once I got some sleep. Besides, Vinnie should be back to our suite soon anyways.
As I closed the door behind me at my suite, I hear a knock. I look out of the peep hole to see who it is. It’s Vinnie. I open the door to let him in. I don’t remember what happened after that, except for waking up in bed with Vinnie and a doctor staring at me.
“Doc,” I say as I’m sitting up. “Any way you can make the room stop spinning? Yeesh! What happened, Vinnie?”
“Babe,” Vinnie says. “After you opened the door for me, you fainted. Someone called the doc to check you out. You’re blood pressure was through the roof. The good doc canceled out pregnancy, dehydration and low sugar. You’ll be on blood pressure medication for a while or at least until the case is over and we get home.”
“No blood pressure medication. The only medicinal thing I’ll take on this case is pain relievers or my migraine medications. I don’t care how many times I pass out; I do NOT want anyone on my back about the blood pressure medication the good quack gives me.”
Everyone kept their mouths shut after my little tirade. I wasn’t proud of my tirade but it got the job done. Instead of calling me Sergente Militare, you can call me “Stubborn”. My poor husband has no idea what he got himself into when he married me. He’s stuck with me, the poor guy.
Mom and Donny leave so Vinnie and I could talk about the conversations we had with his uncle, Benny.
“Your stubborn mule of an uncle knows who sent the assassin but won’t tell me. I can’t tell at this point who sent the assassin and can’t tell who the assassin is with what little information he gave me. I swear Benny is more stubborn than I am. He can’t even thank me for coming out of retirement, calling me over the day we get married, forging a crap load of paperwork to get people with me and can’t thank me for taking the lead on this case. He doesn’t even trust the Swiss Guard to protect him! I don’t know if I can even work on this case with Benny being the way he is at the moment. Maybe his ego is hurt. I don’t know, babe. He’s your uncle!”
“Maggie dear, Benny, according to the family, has always been stubborn and is too proud to ask for help. It’ll take him awhile to thank you. I actually believe he will, eventually, thank you. Hopefully it’s sooner than later. With me, the old coot wouldn’t tell me a damn thing! But then again, I don’t officially work for the FBI and InterPol…so there’s really no reason whatsoever for him to tell me any details of the attempt. What he did talk about, actually complain about, was about the nurses. He said that they were too rough with him when they were changing his bandages and assisting him with the shower and stuff.”
“Oh, sounds like Benny alright. He’s the type of person to find something to complain about. I know those nurses. They’re the ones who were in Russia when I was shot. InterPol sends the nurses and doctors to different locations every twelve to fifteen months. It sucks for them to move around like that. They make friends, find a significant other, get little to no warning of when they’re leaving….leave friends and loved ones behind. Oye. I’ll tell you that they’re not rough when they’re physically handling a patient. They’re tough cookies, they do NOT coddle the patients.”
Vinnie nods in agreement as he takes the wires off, gets undressed and heads to the bathroom to take a shower. I get out of bed slowly since the room is still spinning, not as fast as it was, thankfully. I push the curtain aside a little and step into the shower to join my husband.
Vinnie spins a little as the shower curtain drops back down. He noticed me out of the corner of his eyes and smiles, finally turning around completely to face me. He leans down a little to gently kiss me. I wrap my one hand around the nape of his neck to pull him closer and to deepen the kiss; he obliges.
“Baby,” Vinnie moans as I reach down with my other hand to wrap my other hand around his hardening appendage. “I want to make love to you. I need you so bad.*Moans* Babe, I want to take you on the bed not here.”
“Fine,” I sigh. I quickly shower and get out to dry off. “Hurry up in there. The bed is calling us.”
Vinnie comes out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. He stands there for a moment looking at me in all my glory. I see a bulge beginning to form just underneath the towel. I throw him a questioning look.
“Mag, you sure you want to? You fainted less than an hour ago.”
“Of course I want to. You have no idea how badly I want your hands to explore my body and you inside me,” I say as I’m unwrapping the towel from Vin’s waist. “I can see how much you want me.”
Vinnie leads me to the bed, instructing to sit down. I do as he says. As I sit, I reach out in front of me and take his hard appendage in my hand; stroking him. He begins to moan and shake a little but he stops me and pushes me down on the bed so my feet are touching the floor. He spreads my legs a little bit. After swiping his fingers around my wet apex, he inserts three fingers inside me. I moan and getting closer to climaxing as he’s massaging the inside of my apex.
Vinnie instructs me to go further back on the bed so my feet no longer touch the floor. He joins me on the bed, kissing me and massaging the hardened peaks of my breasts. In one hard thrust, Vinnie enters my apex, making me scream in pleasure. His thrusts are steady and slow so I can adjust to eight inch appendage stretching me. I wrap my legs around his waist so he can go deeper.
“Baby,” Vin moans. “I love how tight you are; muscles constricting around me. I could shoot my seed inside you all night.”
“Please do,” I say flipping us over so I’m sliding up and down his thick appendage. “Fill me.”
Vinnie flips us back over so he’s on top. He begins to thrust harder and harder until we climax together; I feel him shooting his seed into me. When he’s done, he rolls off of me.
“Mags?” Vinnie says.
“What is it,” I ask.
“Do you love me?”
“What kind of question is that? I married you!”
“What do you mean by what kind of question is that? I married you because I love you. What I want to know is if you love me too!”
“Oh, Vinnie. You should already know the answer to it. I may not always say the words you want to hear, but let me show you again how much I do…” I say as I guide Vinnie’s appendage inside my core.
We barely had any sleep that night. We were too busy exploring each other’s body. Sometimes we rested in between me showing Vinnie that I love him but for the most part we didn’t sleep. We didn’t care at the moment how tired we’d be while working eighteen hours with the Swiss Guard and the Vatican Police…after all, we ARE on our honeymoon!
